Question
Over the next year, expected return on the S&P 500 index (proxy for the optimal risky portfolio), the SMB portfolio, and the HML portfolio are 11%, 6%, and 3%; standard deviation of the returns on the S&P 500 is 27%; risk free return is 2%.
To obtain greater diversification for your investments you consider forming a portfolio from two stock index funds, one that tracks the S&P 500 (SPX) and the other is the Schwab International Index Fund (SWISX) that tracks large stocks in markets around the world. Over the next year, the S&P 500 has an expected return of 14% and a standard deviation of return of 30%. The SWISX has an expected return of 18% and a standard deviation of return of 27% (in U.S. $ terms). Assume that the indices have a historic correlation of 0.20 and that is expected to hold in the near future.
If you wish to obtain an expected return of 15.5% on a portfolio formed with the two indices, what are the weights in the SPX and the SWISX that would be required to be in the portfolio?
Summary: This question belongs to financial management and discuses about weights in the SPX and the SWISX that would be required to be in the portfolio.

I have really benefited after taking help from HwA with my visual basic assignment solutions. The team here is excellent and during my course of VB programming, I got tremendous assistance. Starting from the basic concepts of classes and then window controls to web programming, I got help with each and every aspect of visual basic programming from HwA.
Believe it or not I used to get C or D in my chemical engineering assignments. So when the chapters of distillation came I was really worried. But with the help of HwA, I started getting a B or an A. Then gradually when it came to the kinetics of solids, I passed with straight “Aâ€s"
My story with HwA started on a mid-term day, during my graduation as I was stuck with an economics assignment solution. From then onwards I constantly have obtained help from HwA and they have never disappointed me ever.
Your Team saved me from failing by helping me at the last minute. Thanks guys!
After completing my graduation in accountancy I decided to pursue a course in taxation. However, my boat started to rock as an when I was faced with the complexity of the assumptions and considerations which needs to be made whilst calculating a business tax. I was clueless and I was looking for means to make things steady. It was then that my senior in the university suggested that I should take help from HwA and I did. The result was magnificent and while reading out their reports and calculations in my own free time, I also learned a lot.

Hello Allison,I love the 2nd image that you did! I also, had never heard of SumoPaint, is something that I will have to exolpre a bit! I understand completely the 52 (or so) youtube videos that you probably watched. Sometimes they have what you want, sometimes they don't! However, it is always satisfying when you are able to produce something that you have taught yourself. Great job!Debra 0 likes
