Study on New Drug Which Increases White Blood Cell Count in Chemotherapy Patients

Barterol is a drug designed to increase the white blood cell count for patients receiving chemotherapy. When subjects were tested with this drug, their white cell count reading (in thousands per ml) was recorded before and after the drug was taken. The results are shown in the following table. White blood cell counts are normally distributed within a population.
