Question
In this question, you will be using the following menus in SPSS:
Part 1: Use the bodyfat.sav file to perform the following analyses.
1. Using the compare means menu, perform a paired samples t-test to determine whether the 2 methods for determining percent fat were significantly different (variables: fatpct1 & fatpct2).
2. Create a new variable called agecat2 that designates those who are 40 and younger as 1 and those who are over 40 as 2. Perform an independent-samples t-test to determine whether these groups are different in their percent fat (method 1).
3. Create a new variable called agecat3 that designates those who are 39 and younger as 1, those who are 40 up to 50 as 2, and those who are 50 over as 3. Perform a one-way ANOVA to determine whether these groups are different in their percent fat (method 1). Click on Post Hoc and check Tukey.
Answer the following questions.
1. Based on the t-test in #1, what was the mean difference between body fat measurements?
a. 19.2
b. 18.9
c. 0.637
d. 0.221
2. From the t-test in #1, was the mean difference big enough to be statistically significant?
a. Yes
b. No
3. From the t-test in #2, what was the mean difference between age groups?
a. 16.1
b. 20.9
c. 4.59
d. 4.84
4. From the t-test in #2, was the mean difference between age groups big enough to be statistically significant?
a. Yes
b. No
5. Based on the ANOVA in #3, what was the mean difference between groups 1 and 2?
a. 3.91
b. 5.13
c. 1.21
d. 8.475
6. Based on the ANOVA in #3, what was the mean difference between groups 1 and 3?
a. 3.91
b. 5.13
c. 1.21
d. 8.475
7. From the ANOVA in #3, what was the mean difference between groups 2 and 3?
a. 3.91
b. 5.13
c. 1.21
d. 8.475
8. Based on the ANOVA in #3, which mean differences were statistically significant?
a. Groups 1 & 2, groups 1 & 3 but not groups 2 & 3 were significantly different.
b. All were significantly different.
c. Only groups 1 and 2 were different.
d. Only groups 2 and 3 were significant.

I was absolutely lost when I had to write the assignment on how to calculate the energy of singlet diradicals. I needed the assignment to not only mention the method of calculating but also explain the procedure with the help of relevant examples. At HwA this is exactly what I received when I submitted the request for my chemical equilibrium assignment question. I was so impressed with the work that I signed up for their package for the whole semester.

Hello Allison,I love the 2nd image that you did! I also, had never heard of SumoPaint, is something that I will have to exolpre a bit! I understand completely the 52 (or so) youtube videos that you probably watched. Sometimes they have what you want, sometimes they don't! However, it is always satisfying when you are able to produce something that you have taught yourself. Great job!Debra 0 likes
