Zhang, Wang and Chang, from China, are train drivers working in Singapore. Recently unhappy about their working hours and salaries, they decided to go on strike. In an effort to make the authorities succumb to their demands of better pay and shorter hours, they have roped in the other train drivers from the Philippines and India to join their strike. Some drivers refused to partake in the strike and were threatened with bodily harm. The authorities have arrested all the drivers and have deported them, except for Zhang, Wang, and Chang. The three are to be charged in court for ‘’disrupting essential services of the country’’
