Question
(A) One good way to treat nonideal gases is the Redlich-Kwong equation of state,
P = RT /(V-b) - a/√T(V(V+b))
where a and b are constants that depend the identity of the gas (i.e., they can be found from critical constants similar to what is done for the van der Waals equation of state, but the formulas are different). Determine the formula for the following partial derivative of the Redlich-Kwong equation of state,
(∂P/∂Vm)T
(B) Five moles of methane are confined to a container with volume 20 L at 300K. Estimate the pressure using the ideal gas equation of state. Give your answer in atm.
(C) Estimate the pressure in B using the van der Waals equation of state. Give your answer in atm.
(D) Estimate the pressure in B using the Redlich-Kwong equation of state given the Redlich-Kwong constants for methane are a = 3.2 Pa m6 mol2 K½ and b = 2.96 × 10-5 m3 mol-1. Give your answer in atm.
Summary
The question belongs to Chemical Engineering and it is about Redlich-Kwong equation state where given a and b are constants. The formula for the partial derivative of Redlich-Kwong needs to be derived. The other questions are about calculating the pressure of ideal gas for five moles of methane.

1. Having a background of engineering I was pretty confident that I will have no problems with the assignments and homework that will be required to be submitted in my masters program. However there was increasing pressure of assignment submissions. I was spending too much time and effort on writing the assignments and not really gaining any knowledge. The online mechanical engineering tutors at TheReliableTutor.com helped minimize my research time and allowed me to actually gain knowledge from my course.
I was having difficulty in structuring and writing the nuclear chemistry assignment on Balancing Nuclear Equations & Predicting the Product of a Nuclear Reaction. The nuclear chemistry assignment expert guided me through the process in such a way that I not only finished writing the assignment but also acquired a clear concept of the topic.
My professor gave an assignment where I had to make a marketing plan for a daily use product in the markets of Hastings, New Zealand. I was unsure whether anyone in the internet will be able to guide me with such accurate details. However, to my surprise I found out that HwA not only have separate Kiwi assignment helpers but there are marketing assignment experts also. I definitely got good grades and I am very happy with my results.
The timely and professional manner in which my economics thesis writing expert interacted with me throughout the process really impressed me. The knowledge and research of the expert on the topic that I had selected was absolutely flawless and really in-depth. My professor was very happy with the proposal and the consequent thesis paper. Thank you HwA!
Chemical engineering problems often used to confuse me. I was searching for some experts who can genuinely help with such solutions. I always loved Chemistry but Chemical Engineering was something completely different. I took help from TheReliableTutor on several occasions and so far they have delivered the reports on time.

This solution is perfect ...thanks
Hello Allison,I love the 2nd image that you did! I also, had never heard of SumoPaint, is something that I will have to exolpre a bit! I understand completely the 52 (or so) youtube videos that you probably watched. Sometimes they have what you want, sometimes they don't! However, it is always satisfying when you are able to produce something that you have taught yourself. Great job!Debra 0 likes
