Compare between two Isothermal CSTRs for Liquid Phase Reaction
Question
Two different isothermal CSTRs are used for a 1st order liquid phase reaction. Both operate at the same temperature and the same inlet volumetric feed rate and concentration. Conversion is 90% in reactor 1 and 20% in reactor 2. Estimate how the volume of reactor 1 compares to that of reactor 2.
a). V1 = 36V2
b). V1 = 9V2
c). V1 = 4.5V2
d). V1 = 2V2
