Umbrella Corporation requires that its production employees to pass safety training courses before they are allowed to work with dangerous chemicals. This year, Umbrella decided to offer free test preparation services to five of its employees who took the test. After taking the exam, the employee was asked to fill out a survey asking, among other things, how many total hours he or she spent studying for the test. The employee’s score (out of 100) was then recorded, producing the following data set:

a). Calculate the correlation, r, between Study_Hours (x) and Score (y).

b). Interpret the number you calculated in (a) in the context of studying and scoring highly on a test.
c). Plot the data neatly in a scatter plot. Be sure to label both axes and make the plot readable. If you have trouble getting the plot to copy from Excel or R, copy the plot first into Microsoft Paint (or the Mac equivalent). Then, copy and paste from Paint to Blackboard.

d). Explain why the plot in (c) does not agree with the number in (a).

e). Human Resources, which pays for and oversees the test preparation program, wishes to
know the relationship between study hours and test score. What should you tell them, based
on the analysis in a-c?

    Hello Allison,I love the 2nd image that you did! I also, had never heard of SumoPaint, is something that I will have to exolpre a bit! I understand completely the 52 (or so) youtube videos that you probably watched. Sometimes they have what you want, sometimes they don't!
