Calculate Ideal Behavior Of Gases Using Kays Method
Question
A gaseous mixture contains 20 mole % Methane, 30 mole % ethylene & 50 mole % Nitrogen at 90 atm and 100°C. Calculate the molar volume using ideal gas law. Also calculate the % deviation from ideal behavior if the molar volume was calculated using Kay's method. (Tc for CH4, C2H4 & N2 are 191, 283 & 126 K respectively; Pc for CH4, C2H4 & N2 is given as 45.8, 50.8 & 33.5 atm. Resp.)
