Question

Let X be a continuous random variable, plot the distribution function F(X) if

  • X ~ Exp (2);
  • X ~ N (0, 1).

For each of those distributions, you have to plot a figure, showing the distribution function. You also have to compute the median, q0.5, and add a special point (q0.5, 0.5) in this figure. Please use the Asterisk" (_) as the marker and red color for this special point.

1. MATLAB codes, which should be in script _les (.m);

2. Two figures, which should be in eps format (.eps).

Summary

This question belongs to MATLAB software and discusses about application of MATLAB to probability and statistics and to plot the distribution function of given data.
