Question

(A) A mole of gas A is mixed with a mole of gas B at 1 bar and 298K. How much work is required to separate these gases to produce a container of each at 1 bar and 298K.

(B) Calculate ∆GReactionO for the reaction CO(g) + ½ O2(g) → CO2(g) at 298.15K.Calculate ∆GReactionO at 450K assuming that ∆HReactionO is constant in the temperature interval of interest.

Summary

The question belongs to Chemical Engineering and it is about calculating the work or energy it takes to separate two gases bonded at 1 bar and 298K. And calculating the constant temperature interval for carbon and oxygen reaction to produce carbon dioxide.
